ABOUT UAE
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a federation of seven states that has grown from a quiet backwater to one of the Middle East's most important economic centres.
Although traditionally conservative and authoritarian in government, the UAE is one of the most liberal countries in the Gulf, with other cultures and beliefs generally tolerated.
In 2020 it became the first Gulf state to establish diplomatic relations with Israel. After years of infrastructure investment, the UAE become one of the most successful business hubs in the gulf region.
The ruling family are pro-business and operate a very favourable tax regime, with no income tax and very low VAT (5%). The UAE's economy is bolstered by a strong financial services industry and the wealth of natural resources in the country. The UAE has diversified and has become a regional trading and tourism hub. UAE firms have invested heavily abroad.

RESIDENCY BY INVESTMENT
The UAE allows for foreign investors to hold residency through a number of investment routes.
Investor visas are renewable depending on the chosen route.
RESIDENCE VISA Investor Visa 2 year renewable Invest minimum AED1,000,000 in real estate. 5 year renewable Invest a minimum of AED5,000,000 in real estate. 10 year renewable Invest a minimum of AED10,000,000 in real estate.
ENTEREPRENEURS VISA
Applicants can apply from abroad for a renewable six-month multiple entry permit in the UAE. Successful candidates will have 6 months to change their status or renew their visa once. Holders of entrepreneurs visas are expected to invest in projects with a minimum value of Dh500,000 to receive five-year visas with the possibility of being upgraded to ten-year visas should they meet the requirements for an investor visa. Entrepreneurs can sponsor spouses, children, partners, and three executive directors.
This investment entitles applicants to an investor visa for two years renewable providing the investment is maintained.
